She’s been on my Circle of Bloggy Friends for, well, as long as I’ve been blogging almost. I think I came across Kristina’s blog, Little Baby Bug, while I was blog hopping one day and saw she was {at that time} living in a city just a few hours from me, in middle Tennessee. When I left her a comment, I let her know that we were both TN bloggers! Out of that, we struck up a Mommy friendship through blogging, emailing, and tweeti
ng.
I found a great friend in Kristina. She’s a great listener {which is possible to tell in emails}. She’s fun and thoughtful {sending cards just because}. And I love talking about our babies together, as her daughter is just about a month older than Sophia! She’s even opened up my green-ness in Cleaning by making me a Shaklee customer and believer!
So, when she let me know she and her daughter would be visiting her brother {who lives only about 45 minutes from me!}, we had to plan a lunch play date! I was ecstatic that hubby finally approved {he’s convinced that every other Mommy blogger that I talk about is an axe murderer}!
We had lunch at a Tea Room. The girls enjoyed the lunch as much as us, although they’re enjoyment came out of banging forks on the table, sampling all of the food and spitting out what they didn’t approve of, and telling us “No, No, No” no matter how much we tried to quietly redirect {Ok, so the latter was really only Sophia}. I knew Kristina and I would get right along as soon as this statement came out of her mouth, so sweetly and calmly… “Ladies don’t act like that in Tea Rooms.” Oh, our girls! They were very well behaved, though, all kidding aside. They seemed to just observe one another during the whole lunch as us Mommies chatted away.
We also laughed at ourselves because there was probably more Marine Parents Shop merchandise in that little Tea Room than in April’s whole house. Ok, maybe not… but close?!
After our Tea Lunch, we headed to a local state park to let the girls play. I brought along bubbles and they enjoyed some swinging and slide/tunnel play while we continued to live up the chance to talk about things other than: colors, 123s, animal sounds, and diaper changing times… although you know cloth diapers came up in conversation a few times!
I had such a wonderful time meeting a bloggy friend {and her sweet, cute babe}, in real life! And I can’t wait to do it again!

Oh, we had such a great time. We have to do it again! And I do love your tote!
Absolutely… we must do it again!
How fun! I can’t wait for the opportunity for us to get to do something like this (and tell hubs SPN isn’t an axe murderer!)
Oh, I agree! We are close enough that it HAS to happen at some point! I will pass the message along to him! HA!
HA! that part about the MP merchandise had me going for sure!!
it sounds like you had a great time with each other :]
We did have a great time and felt like total dorks with all our MP stuff… I knew you’d get a kick out of it! And Kristina was drooling over my Tote. Let’s encourage her to splurge!!! Haha!
How cool is that! I wish I had some bloggy friends that lived closer to me.
That sounds like so much fun. I just started blogging, can’t wait to have that experience.
