Wee Expressions and Snappi Giveaway

I hope everyone is enjoying Out Like a Lamb so far.  I hope you’re either learning new things, re-affirming your love for wool, and having fun entering to increase your wool and fitted stash!  Today I want to tell you why I chose to look into wool and how it’s going for us… truthfully.

Sophia is a heavy wetter.  I realize that alot of Moms say that, but it’s the truth.  At 10 months, she is already exhibiting a good potty training desired behavior… urinating less frequently, but you know what that means.  When it happens, it’s like a flood.  Her diapers can go from being dry one second to drenched the next.  Couple that with a good eater and drinker AND a little lady who sleeps around 12 hours and we often woke up with wet sheets.  As I said before, our nighttime routine before wool was a Bumgenius with the microfiber insert and hemp insert on the bottom.  It worked the majority of the time, but I could tell it wasn’t going to work for much longer.

I had read so many great things about wool on messageboards, other blogs, and learned alot from A Year With Mom and Dad’s Wild and Wooly Event, back in January.  Julie inspired me to try wool.  Her posts were so informative and came from a beginner’s point of view, which made me feel like I could succeed with the transition too!

I’m pretty sure that it’s quite obvious after the string of this week’s posts that I’m digging the wool and fitteds.  I really am.  I was so skeptical at first and flat out scared.  I hate to change routines and this is a big one.  You are gambling on your babe, who sleeps so well, to wake up in the middle of the night with wet sheets and then be up all night.  That’s a big gamble to me and most Moms, I’m sure!

While researching for this event, I came into contact with wonderful companies and even more wonderful WAHMs and Lauren from Wee Expressions was no different.  She was a delight to get to know and work with on making Sophia a cute little fitted to wear under all of her woolies!

I chose a size Large, so Sophia would have some room to grow, in a cute, groovy print without closures as we have a Snappi (more on that in a bit!).  Wee Expressions cloth diapers are made with a super soft, and I mean soft, flannel on the outside and Zorb for the soaker.  (I had never heard of Zorb until I got this diaper!)

Why I Love our Snappi:  Because they are just so innovative!  What a genius the Snappi creator is!?!  I could not use pins.  I just know that I would stick myself and poor little Sophia all of the time.  She is a “wiggly” girl when changing her diaper and the Snappi is easy enough to operate that I can get it on her and done before she realizes what’s happening!
